The earthquake in Sichuan is a large and tragic natural disaster. People both within China and around the world are feeling strong compassion for all the victims of this disaster.

Immediately after the earthquake, the Chamber encouraged members to make contributions via the Red Cross for rescue and relief work in Sichuan. Many of our members have also made direct contributions to the relief work by providing money, staff, equipment and material.

Each individual and each company makes contributions based on their ability. It is encouraging to see that so many companies and individiduals around China and the world are giving so much support to the disaster area in this difficult time.
